Cape Hedo

Monday, August 1, 2011

Saturday was a great day.

I woke up to Cam cooking breakfast with the fresh eggs & tomatoes we just got from our neighborhood farmer's market, his huge smile & a "happy 1 year and 2 month anniversary!"
(he really is the sweetest husband. ever.)
We spent the day exploring ~ drove up the whole west coast past gorgeous inlets of brilliant blue & turquoise water contrasted against the lush green of the forests & jungle that make up the central island,
past fishing villages, farms and pineapple stands
all the way to the very northern tip of the island to Cape Hedo where there are spectacular views & a long beach that we drove the Jimney onto
to swim where the Pacific meets the East China Sea
and play for the rest of the day.

{islands everywhere on the way home}

After as much sun as we could take in, we slowly made our way home through the eastern and central part of the island in time to watch the sunset from our back porch & walk to our favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant where we have been indulging in copious raw fish & orion.
And absolutely loving it.

Hope you're all doing well!
Happy birthday today to this beautiful & hilarious Mama & best friend of 17 years
