I love going up the street to our neighborhood farmer's market to get fresh veggies & fruit.
This morning I bought bell peppers, garlic, onion and tomatoes for our homemade pizza...
which was so good it needs to be shared so you can make it too.
I'm looking especially at you, Lannabear!
Ingredients: dough {amazing recipe here if you have time to make your own!},
cherry tomatoes, garlic, bell peppers, onion, mozzarella, feta, salt, olive oil.
Put all the chopped veggies plus lots of chopped garlic -- on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and salt. Broil or roast in the oven to get the flavors going & to keep the pizza from getting soggy.
If you have a really handsome former high school pizza maker on hand, toss the dough.
If not, roll out the dough, drizzle olive oil over it, spread out the mozzarella,
add the roasted veggies, and top with crumbled feta.
My Mama taught me that you can never use too much cheese.
So after I took this photo I obediently added more.
Thanks, Mom.
Bake in a preheated 500-degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
OR - our favorite - grill it on the bbq.
Utter deliciousness! And it's packed with nutrients from all those yummy veggies.
It's now officially one of our favorites.
Of two big pizzas, what was left between Cam, our good friend Meredith, and me.
We all agreed: tasted like heaven and you need to make one... or just come over for dinner.
Enjoy!

Oh my..I'm coming over for dinner for sure.. yum!!
ReplyDeleteWow! The veggies you picked up from the farmer's market look wonderfully fresh! I love your photos btw. I need to learn some of your tricks!
ReplyDeleteCrickey you are a talented photographer! Wow!
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy. Like your trick for the veggies. Will try that next time.
ReplyDeleteI love making homemade pizza! This looks amazing - definitely going on the dinner roster next week!
ReplyDeleteIf you weren't so far away....I would be knocking on the door right now with a plate and some soda! :)
ReplyDeleteLove making homemade pizzas! They are our go-to dinner as well. I can manage to find some really great, fresh ingredients as well in the Netherlands (cheese is so cheap too)... not quite the same as our American pizzas, but maybe even better ;)
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! I will have to try it soon. Hopefully it will turn out right in my teeny toaster oven! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks delic. We just made very similar pizza on Sunday - although due to fact its midwinter here no farmers market goodies only Trader Joes.
ReplyDeleteI am salivating! Delicious!
ReplyDeleteMuch love, Bailey from Vanilla Blonde
Oooo YUM! save me a piece! I'll be over shortly. Oh and can Cam teach me how to toss dough like a pro?! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks delish! You've seriously inspired me lady ;)
ReplyDeletei sort of really don't like you right now.
ReplyDeletei mean.. come on.. where is my pizza?
Whoa official first shout out on the blog. BIG DAY.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to put this ... but I'm kind of a big deal.
People know me.
Also - Cam you are a PIZZA tossing pro! Tim just DELIVERED pizza in high school... he didn't participate in the making process.
I think I know what we're having for dinner tonight!! Tim just got deputized so Paula Deen's days are numbered!! Womp WOMP.
PIZZA LOVE, lanneybear
looks amazing! Pizza is one of my favorites and the Swedes put the most bizarre things on them. Seriously have you ever heard of Bearnaise sauce on a pizza? I'm not kidding. Your pizza however looks perfectly normal and wonderfully delicious!
ReplyDeletealso - I just texted Tim the necessary items to pick up. His response: "no meat? What you mean he don't eat no meat?"
ReplyDeleteIt was a CHUCKLE FEST.
Glad to see he still has the magic touch.
ReplyDeletePS the colors in these pictures are stunning!
Oh man... all the colors and deliciousness in this post are just more than I can bear! You take such lovely pictures, Mrs. Marshall! :)
ReplyDeletei will be right over!!! deeeelish

ReplyDeleteYUMMMMM!!! Cam has to do a vlog and teach us how to throw the dough in the air like that without having it fall on our faces!!!!
ReplyDeleteDelicious!! I haven't made homemade pizza in a while, should fix that soon :)
