{orange + turquoise. love!}
There have been so many gloriously beautiful days this past week. Like jaw to the floor, can't believe we live here. And when the sun is out and the water is a brilliant turquoise I cannot help but pathologically snap away on my camera, and, look up with praise. I'm posting some of these just in time for the return of the rain.
These gorgeous afternoons have also been perfect timing as Cam has been able to come home early a number of days, and we've had so much fun.. dating. How I love this man.
We've promised to pursue each other for the rest of our lives. Even after bebes. {Lord willing.}
Those of you with kids, are you just laughing hysterically?
I'm curious how you all {married or not, kids or not} view dating. Would love to hear your take!

Your photos are absolutely gorgeous and I love your dress! Where is it from? If you don't mind my asking :)
ReplyDeleteI love the dress that you're wearing, too! Looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Lyndsay, I got it out here but it's O'Neill (the surf brand) so probably easy to find in the States -

I am so moving there! These pictures are incredibly BEAUTIFUL! (And so are you and your hubs!)
ReplyDeleteI remember sitting in a college course and we were viewing stats of divorce. The MAJORITY of divorces happen when the kids are grown up and leave the home. Husband and wife realize they have nothing in common anymore. I vowed from that point on that when I got married (I've been married almost 4 years!) that I would ALWAYS date my hubs. I definitely wanted to wait to have kids so that we could build on our relationship, and get in the habit of dating. Hopefully when we do have kids it will feel wrong to NOT have our dates!
We have two little ones (and are a military family too) and still date, dont worry, it is totally possible! Usually, on Friday nights after we put the boys to bed, we open a bottle of wine, turn on music and just talk. No TV, to computer or phones, just us. I promise, having children only makes you love your husband 1 million times over. There is nothing like it. But we always said, if our relationship isnt healthy, then the kids wont be happy, so we make us a priority :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures as always!
I love the idea that you two want to keep pursuing each other! The comments from Kate & others are very sweet too :)
ReplyDeleteMarriage & love are beautiful things.
Thanks! It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy dating life is non existent. But I always think dating should be fun and about getting to know each other. Guys that are thinkers and try to do something unique are way more interesting!
ReplyDeleteNo kids yet but we are so fans of dating in marriage. It is one great way to keep the romance alive. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pics.
xoxo
Lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your pictures are just beautiful! I'm so jealous! And I love your dress as well. :)

ReplyDeleteI am taking my stunningly beautiful and 21 week along pregnant wife for a "vacation" in Denver next week!!
ReplyDeleteI am leaving work early Thursday and ditching Friday to head to Denver with my hot momma where I got us theater tickets, a dinner at the Palm, a room at the Westin including strawberries and sparking cider on arrival and breakfast in bed in the morning with a late 4pm check out!! Then we will head to the aquarium (to pretend we have a beach and fishy's)
And we will call it a "vacation"! Thats how the Bosio's roll on a date! ;)
Nothing better than reminding our wives why we "locked em' down when we had the chance!"
Miss y'all
I am loving this outfit as well as the beautiful pictures! That letter was soo so sweet at Megan's blog. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteLove that you still "date" even though you're married. You guys are the cutest.
ReplyDeletei would seriously never ever stop taking photos of that water! if it's that pretty in pictures, i bet it's the most incredible to look at with your own eyes :)
ReplyDeleteand we share that perspective on pursuing each other! hopefully after all the little babes come, we will still know how to make time for us!
1. you are beautiful
ReplyDelete2. i like your dating philosophy
3. i'm long distance with my fiance (August 4th can't come any sooner!) and it's sometimes hard to love and serve each other from far away. I'm super looking forward to the day we can be in the same place every day- it will be wonderful to do lots of little things to pursue each other, and not just big date nights!
so glad I found your blog!
Your photos are always so lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Gorgeous you!
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo and your surroundings...we are blessed!
ReplyDeleteI feel the exact same way...and you wrote it so beautifully...pursue each other for the rest of your lives...love it.
xoxo from Trinidad
I love the two of you. So much (or "smuch" as my husband and I say.
ReplyDeleteDating is so important-thus pursuit is. We have a 10 day old baby and I have been exhausted and last night when I went into our room my husband had the whole thing lit with candles and it just changed my whole day. He loves the LORD just like your husband and thus it is this beautiful pursuit :) Keep dating-we are now implementing date nights with the wee one (her name is Ruth)
xoxo, Anna
Oh my gosh...you are so tan and golden and oooh I miss that...what a gorgeous place you live I didn't even realize how beautiful it was until I came across you blog. I am so jealous...truly though! haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful couple you two make...and I think it's ITS FANTASTIC that you will continue "pursuing" one another and its ESPECIALLY important after babies! Our little girl is the light of our lives, but first and foremost you have to make one another your first priority, and everything else falls into place much more smoothly!
xoxo

LOVE the coral dress and turquoise earrings...such a great combo!!! I'd love for you to hop on over and check out my blog all about COLOR! colorissue.blogspot.com
Great pictures, as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteDating in marriage is important, especially after kids come along. Granted, you may not get to go 'out' for dates as often as you used to before you had kids, but you can still have dates at home. And as long as you both see that as a priority in your marriage, I'm sure they will continue long after the babies come. :)
you and your hubby are way to adorable! :) i love your photos, how gorgeous. and i love your dress and heels in the last photo :) XO
ReplyDeleteYou both are too cute for words!!
ReplyDeletey'all make one hot gorgeous couple! quite making the rest of us look bad...

ReplyDeleteyou guys are dolls. and yes, dating is a must. JB is so busy these days but we still make it a point to go on a few dates a week... and we will whenever we end up with bebes. at least once a week! lord willing is right mands (:
ReplyDeleteDating is so important! With a kiddo, we sometimes have to seek out those moments, but one on one time is definitely important, even if it's just popcorn and a movie :) I agree with the other comments, having a child only makes you love your man more!
