That is a great quote! I have quite a few books that I love to curl up with and just open to any old spot. The characters become like familiar old friends and bring such a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

ReplyDeleteMuch love, Bailey from Vanilla Blonde
Gahhhh! Two of my most FAVORITE THINGS...P&P and bruschetta! Bellissima! You have no idea how many times i've read the book, and pretended to be Elizabeth Bennett! Kev has agreed to take the Austin tour with me on our trip to the UK this year, i'm a lucky woman! haha! ci parliamo presto:)
ReplyDeleteI'm now dreaming about eating that. And I probably won't be able to anytime soon. :( Pictures are gorgeous as always and I totally agree with the C.S. Lewis quote!
ReplyDeleteThat bruschetta looks delicious! It's funny, your posts sort of remind me of Brazil... The smell of rain, just sitting on the deck watching... Perfect!

ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic quote - I just love C.S. Lewis! Keep us posted on Guam - that would be a fun trip!
ReplyDeleteMy love for P&P is best summarized by Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail: "Confession: I have read Pride & Prejudice about 200 times. I get caught up in the language -- words like thither, mischance, felicity. I'm always in agony over whether Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy will get together!" Maybe it's time for another read - i mean it is a new year :) You can always re-read Jane Eyre next!!
ReplyDeletemiss you, love, lanneybear
