Ishigaki Island Anniversary // Babymoon

Sunday, June 2, 2013

Where and how we spent the majority of the week  (:
I'd like to bear hug the person who thought up a babymoon.

Cracking up after a petite man in speedo jogged past us...

I am so thankful for this past week away with my husband to celebrate! This was by far the most relaxing trip we've taken while living out here. Ishigaki Island is part of the Yaeyama Island chain in the Southern-most part of Japan, just off the coast of Taiwan. It's gorgeous -- the Philippine Sea is the most beautiful shades of soft sea foam greens and turquoises next to white sand beaches. The interior is totally verdant from rice paddy and sugar cane fields everywhere. It is a quiet, serene, untouched island.

We rented a car one day and explored {photos to come! as well as where we stayed} but for the most part, this is where we spent most of our time together. I love seeing Cam totally relaxed, and being next to him for days on end. It was absolutely wonderful.

  8. Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures! Glad you got to spend some time away together. Question though - I always wonder how you get such gorgeous pictures of the two of you. How did you get the picture of you two laying on the beach chairs? Tripod?
