39 Weeks in the East China Sea

{It was so blazing hot when the lovely Kenz took these (thanks friend!) that we got right in the water to cool down}

I'm so happy it's almost time to meet our son that I find myself tearing up very easily. Oh yes, my hormones are skyrocketing! We're still here, waiting. Uncomfortable, huge, can't sleep, but so utterly excited.  I wonder how many hours I've spent in or staring at his little nursery, imaging him there?

I was so terrified for birth, but then the Lord reminded me {through a few of you amazing ladies!} that He's already gone ahead and prepared the way. He's going to be there with all three of us, and at the end of it, we'll finally get to meet our little boy, entrusted to us by His heavenly Father.
We cannot thank you enough to everyone who has been praying for us, for those of you who have emailed, shared your own stories of your babies and births,  and have been excited with us!
Hopefully these are my last pregnancy photos and he'll be coming soon...

    Don't be afraid of birth. Your body was made to do it. Just let go, relax, and let it happen. :)

  18. beautiful!! I too was petrified for delivery. Thankfully it really wasn't as bad as I thought (I did get an epidural at 8cm but only because I was afraid of the actual pushing pain!) I'm sure you'll do great and it sounds like God's given you an amazing coach to stand by you during the process!
