Baby John Shea’s Nursery

Our favorite room in our home! A lot of John’s nursery is the product of DIY projects {post on the wall map here!} and yard sale finds. The crib, rocking chair and dresser/changing table we had originally wanted couldn’t be shipped to our military address, so we ended up refurbishing our own.

The chair was pretty ugly {and not a rocking chair} when we bought it, but we got it for a good deal, so we stripped it, stained it in oak and Cam built rockers and rounded out all the edges of the wood. We love it now! Though we’re planning to sell it before we leave Okinawa, along with a couple other Cameron-made pieces of furniture if anyone is interested ๐Ÿ™‚

The dresser was another yard sale find that we stripped, painted and added cute nobs for a little extra somethin-somethin. And those are his sweet not-so-little-10-day-old footprints and a lovely Psalm 127:4 print from Jolie Made.

He loves his lambie mobile! I heard him giggle at them this morning! So precious.

Lamb photo from our New Zealand trip, “Be Strong in the Lord” verses from Ephesians 6, wild deer also from New Zealand, “I am the vine” verses from John 15 and a darling buck print from Third Floor Design.

Thank you Nana and Grandpa for the darling rocker!

So happy this morning in his very own, sweet little room!

Oh Amanada this nursery is so sweet! And for the record, if we had the room in our tiny apartment (oh and lived closer) I would totally buy some Cam made furniture.

Oh my goodness, I can see why it is your favorite room in the house — and not just because your most prized 'possession' lives there! Absolutely beautiful! And filled with things that show love and care. Great job!

Such a peaceful and calming room! He is as cute as a button! I love when newborns have their toes and fingers covered from scratching. It makes you want to snuggle them even closer. ๐Ÿ™‚
