Beautiful Homes Tour

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

There are so many things that I admire about my Mom. Lately, I've been admiring how hard working she is and her eye for style and beauty. Over the past two weeks, I've gotten to go along with my Mama, who is an amazing realtor, to her house inspections, have met some of her lovely clients, and lucky lucky me -- she took me to see a bunch of beautiful homes throughout the Raleigh/Cary area of North Carolina where she works. She pointed out good symmetry, clean lines, great landscaping, beautiful aspects like stone and brick work, well-appointed front porches and architectural details. It was really fun to learn about! She's so devoted to her clients that they become friends of hers, and she works her tail off trying to find them a perfect house to call home. I am just so amazed by her and hope that my work ethic will always reflect hers.

I hope you enjoy some of the homes we got to see :)

This was my favorite. Hello, current homeowners, I'm movin' in! The gate, climbing vines and small white windows were even more adorable in person.

A fresh rose on the front door!

If you're ever in the Cary/Raleigh area looking for a home, I'd recommend working with my Mama. She is truly the best of the best.

    3. Makes sense. ;)

I'm not sure why Joe looks at homes when we own a 4BR house with no kids, but he wants more land. So who knows... ;) We'll contact her if we get serious about a house.

  3. Oh my goodness, these are just beautiful! I seriously *dream* about living in a home like one of these, if only one could just be transplanted to Southern California? I suppose I'll just have to convince my husband to move to North Carolina instead ;)

    1. Haha, actually, we're from SoCal and I never thought I'd say this - but it's so much nicer in NC! People are incredibly friendly and warm and down to earth and the prices are much better, too :)

    2. Unfortunately, that is not my house! I live around the corner, but have lived in Raleigh almost my entire life and that is definitely my favorite house in town. Someone actually built a copy of it a couple of miles away!

  9. That red door...so perfect. I had no idea your family lived in North Carolina! I was looking at all these houses thinking they looked more Southern than Californian (if that's a word haha). Glad you're enjoying time with your family!
