Colazione Drinks Frutta Life Spring Summer Winter

Smoothie Refresh

Our favorite daily snack. Food photography has never been so much fun as when this little man swoops in to eat whatever I’m taking a photo of!

Girly styling meets reality with a toddler boy who is all boy. I was laughing outloud as I took these and am all over again!

Acai Berry Smoothie
makes 2 servings or 1 large smoothie

1 C frozen blueberries and peaches
3.5 oz/100g frozen acai
1-2 big handfuls of fresh spinach or kale
1 C greek yogurt, optional
1 banana, optional
OJ

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and continue adding OJ until it is as smooth a consistency as you would you like. Frozen strawberries and mango are also delicious in this!

I’ve made a green smoothie just about every day since I first got pregnant with John and he’s been eating them with me since he was abut 6 months old. I finally found frozen acai fruit at Whole Foods and suddenly have a brand new smoothie in the mix! If I don’t add in greek yogurt, I eat a spoonful of peanut butter with it to have protein to go along with the fruit and greens. Feel free to adjust this however you like. I hope you enjoy it as much as my wild man and I do every day!

Hi Claudia! We have a cheapo glass Oster blender. We've talked for years about getting a juicer but have yet to make the purchase!

Your photography assistant is adorable! I've been on a smoothie kick lately. I've actually blogged a couple of recipes too. I just did a vanilla chai tea smoothie that I'm obsessed with!

I read From Plate to Pixel after you recommended it several months ago, and I love seeing the principles in that book meeting the real world! This looks even more delicious after John got his hands on it!

Ah what a great book. I read it through a few times when I first bought it years ago and then sadly lost it, but still try to remember her tips. So glad you enjoyed it too!

I was getting out of shape, so I decided to make a change and do some research on getting my core system and "guts" back into shape before working on my muscles. Green drink helped me with that.

Looks amazing and I’m sure that taste is the same, but I’m a fan of juices, nor smoothies. And I prefer homemade juices that I make with best wheatgrass juicers, you can like it too, I think.
