Encouragement for Grieving Mothers (and for all of us!)

(from the "You Are Adored Collection" from Laurelbox.com)

Over the weekend, one of my best friends gave birth to and lost her son. Even in her grief and shock she was able to write these amazing words, and I wanted to share them for anyone reading this who may need encouragement... You are adored! You are loved beyond compare.

For every time there is a season. We thought this would be a joyful one but it turns out it will be one of grief and loss. It doesn't matter why. It just matters that our second son was real and beautiful and GOD has a perfect plan for imperfect things like this.

I can say hours after finding out in the delivery room that we lost our baby boy Cooper from a detached placenta - Jesus has given me a peace I don't understand or deserve. The pain and tears are here - in place of future memories with him that we will never have - but as we approach Easter we know Jesus took on all our pain and suffering so we could see Cooper again in Heaven.
And for that - and so many other things - we are grateful.

We know others have walked this difficult road. That's why my dear friend started Laurelbox.com. It unfortunately takes on a whole new meaning now.

Good will come out of this - we know that. And if you are going through a tough time - turn to the GOD who collects our tears in a bottle. -Psalm 56:8

Love,
Tim, Lanna, Trey and Sweet Baby Cooper

    2. He sure is Lanna. I love your description of God.

The Lord gave my husband this scripture right before I lost my baby Benjamin-

Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

XOXOXOXO You are in my prayers.

  9. I'm praying for your friend and I have felt that peace that surpasses all understanding when I lost my second son, Benjamin, 19 years ago when I was 6 1/2 months pregnant. He had Trimsomy 21 and passed away in utero. I delivered him and got to hold him so that was a big blessing. Your friend will be my my prayers.

  10. My heart bleeds for them... We don't understand why God has these plans for us, but He does, and that is enough. Jeremiah 29:11. They are in my prayers! Baby Cooper got to celebrate Easter with the Reason Himself!! Nothing compares. <3 XOXO
