A Beautiful Cameron-Made Baby Cradle

That amazing and talented man I’m married to built yet another beautiful piece of furniture… this time for our precious babe.

I had originally wanted an antique-looking cradle I’d found on amazon, but like most things, it was too big to ship out here. Simultaneously, I found this moses basket from a yard sale in perfect condition for $10 and snagged it. Cam took one look at it and said he could build a cradle to fit it, and then we could have a family heirloom to be used for all those future children we hope to have. It’s simple, sweet and even more beautiful in person. I cannot imagine anything better!

It’s been hanging out in the nursery on the guest room rug {we’re still waiting for the one we ordered to arrive!} but it was made to rock right next to our bed:

The cradle, just like us, is excitedly waiting for our precious little boy to arrive.

It is adorable and your husband is truly talented! I must admit though that I think you should keep the rug… it reminds me of my beloved summer location: Greece <3

Incredible. Do you think that when we finally get to meet that Cam will give D some tips on carpentry? Home boy needs some advice.

Tell Cam, BRAVO! Beautiful. That baby of yours is gonna be a-ok with you two. ๐Ÿ˜‰

When my husband returns he'll be itching for projects, and some of these you've featured recently and in previous posts are things he'd love to tackle (or *I* would love for him to tackle)… has your husband moved any of the plans from his mind onto paper? You're blessed!

Thanks, Heather! He usually does a quick sketch of his ideas before he starts building, but I think most of it just comes to him as he's working. Yay for your husband almost being back!!
