Our Baby Ballerina

My birthday present came early this year, on May 20th to be exact. Our amazing, beautiful, chunkier each day baby Grace. She's 8 months old this week, already!! I love this age so much. She cracks herself up, kisses us by opening her whole mouth and licking or gummy biting our faces and thinks that everything her brother does is the best thing she's ever seen. She isn't sleeping through the night yet but she's laid back, joyful, fun and so engaging. We are all crazy about her. Wasn't I just ... continue reading...

Citrus Chicken & A Little Bit of Magic in Zagreb

Just before Christmas, Cam and I had a date in my favorite part of Zagreb: Gornji Grad, also known as Upper Town or Old Town. Gornji Grad at nighttime is special on it's own, but even more so during Advent. It goes perfectly with Citrus Chicken -- recipe coming! -- or with roasted chicken added in it. It's also delicious alongside Parmesan Crusted Salmon for a really fresh and easy dinner. The clementines and winter plums ... continue reading...

A Few Warm Days on the Dalmatian Coast

As I write this with hot tea in hand, it's snowing outside! It's the first real snow in Zagreb. But just a couple days ago we were on the central Dalmatian Coast in the beautiful town of Šibenik. It's a very small, walkable city just an hour up the coast from Split, with narrow, pretty streets laid in centuries-old cobblestone and tons of stairs, winding in and out and up from the Adriatic. We loved walking the Riva in the morning to Banj Beach and again at sunset when it felt like the whole ... continue reading...
