Our Royal Babies

Our classy, sweet darling Princess Grace and her older, charming brother Prince John Shea. Halloween isn't celebrated here but the US Embassy put on an amazing costume party and trunk-or-treat. To be honest, even if we didn't have anywhere to go, I would have still dressed them up. They killed us in those little outfits! John Shea had the time of his life running around with a ton of other little kids in costume and while we were on the playground I overheard some of the middle school boys ... continue reading...

5 Months of Grace

Harvest Pumpkin Soup and a House in Istria

Looking out from its medieval walls high above is a breathtaking sight of miles and miles of vineyards, rolling hills, olive groves, church steeples built over a thousand years ago... and if you look really closely, at the end of a gravel road headed into the Mirna Valley, nestled in the forests where the ubiquitous local truffles are hunted, is Casa Lucia. A fairy tale stone house and fairy tale setting. Our precious children's ... continue reading...
