Life pregnancy

7 Months

How far along: 7 months, already! Kicks: I've been feeling our little girl kick since Christmas when I was about 15 weeks. She is a dancer, but so much more gentle than John Shea ever was in the womb. He used to kick me so hard during the night Cam could see my belly move and would regularly hear me whimpering in my sleep. She thankfully doesn't do that but just like her brother, gets the most excited when Cam has his hand on my belly and is talking to her. So sweet. Cravings: Chocolate!! But ... continue reading...

Chocolate Dolci Life

Meringues with Chocolate Sauce and Creme Chantilly

My Mom has the greatest collection of cookbooks, a glorious bookcase full, collected over the years with most of the pages leafed and all of them well-read and well-loved. He calls me "Na - Na" so we're alllllmost at Mama.  He gets humor! And is seriously funny! Cam ... continue reading...

Life Monterey

A Guide to the Monterey & Carmel Farmer’s Markets

It's no secret that I love farmer's markets and especially the ones here in Monterey and Carmel. There's one every day!! One of the first things I did when we moved here was visit all of them and as the weeks and months passed, I found my favorite markets and vendors that I go back to each week with John Shea, usually with a coffee in hand and a basket hanging from his stroller. It's fun not only picking out locally grown foods, but also being outside, talking and developing relationships with ... continue reading...
