Date at Cape Maeda

I don’t know how someone so little and adorable and precious can just break us, but our John Shea can and has, especially these past few weeks. I’ve recently hit some new lows in my mommy career thanks to sleep deprivation. If you’ve wondered why my blogging has been so sparse, or how we’re really doing, there you have it.  Nothing new to any parent, I’m sure ๐Ÿ™‚ Cam and I badly needed a break, a date, just the two of us, and thanks to Ashley, we got a few hours on Saturday. It was REVITALIZING!  I totally, completely, unabashedly adore my husband and have missed him even though we’re blessed to see each other every day. Getting outside together, and in the freezing cold beautiful water recharged us. We are forever grateful to live in such a gorgeous place where we can go snorkel through caves and turquoise water in January ! Thank you, Ash, and thanks for taking that last photo after running into you, Annie! Now back to that darling little boy we love so much.

Such a heartfelt and open post – I feel for ya, mama! I can't even imagine how taxing it is to be a new parent, but I know you guys are doing so well and must love this shared journey deeply. Keep it up!

I think when I was a new mom to my first baby, I hit some pretty low moments as far as mommyhood goes!! My second is so much easier because I know what to expect now! And dates with the hubby are a must for your sanity!! haha. Gorgeous photos, and prayers that your little sweet boy doesn't give you TOO hard of a time!

You have to date your husband! And this looks like one fun and incredible date ๐Ÿ™‚

We try to go out on dates on a semi-weekly basis. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Tis a resident's life for us! I relish the carefree times we have together, since I know we won't always be able to do that…

Those baby free moments are precious! Enjoy them when you can! I love your pics of Oki, reminds me of our time on Guam, nothing beats turquoise water! We live in Sasebo now and are excited to be exploring a new country. I love following your blog, we will definitely take up your suggestions on your Japan adventures!
