So many cutie shops through the old town, with at least five chocolate shops. I’m sure you can’t imagine which of us were excited about that.

I sadly lost all of my photos from the past couple of days while we’ve been in Bled, sharing this adorable cottage with our dear friends… but I’m grateful to have these from Ljubljana. It reminds us all of Zagreb’s old town, from the Hapsburg architecture and colors to the many cafes and outdoor terraces. Our kids had an easier time in Bled with all of the open fields and hills to play in and fewer people around, but I’m so glad we got to see Ljubljana! It is such a beautiful city and we’ve loved the time and fellowship we’ve had with the Armstrongs this week. Sretan Ponedeljak. Happy Monday!

I love these photos of your little adventure! Even more though, I love seeing Slovenia mentioned! That is actually where my family is from, but I have yet to make a visit myself. Hoping to visit in the next few years and your post made me want to go even more!! Sorry to hear about losing your Bled photos… It is such a beautiful place! Can't wait until I can go swim in the lake and make a trip out to the church!

I hope you get to visit too – it is a STUNNING country. Each time we've been (I think this was our sixth?) we've been blown away by how beautiful and rugged it is. And the people are very nice. How wonderful that you're from there!

The mister was just accepted for the 2017 class and we'll be living in Ljubljana, Slovenia! The pictures from Ljubljana brought back such great memories as my husband and I were able to travel to Slovenia in the summer of 2014. We have dear friends who live there and it was fun to see your pictures. I am so sorry you lost your pictures of Lake Bled, put you can treasure the memories! Slovenia is a gorgeous country.
