Fall Life

Fall showers bring pumpkin muffins.

In Okinawa our adages are a little mixed up.
This is what Fall looks like here ~ better known as MONSOON season.
Most days we wake up to clear sky and sun and by the afternoon it’s literally torrential downpours of warm rain.

Ash made pumpkin cinnamon muffins the other night..and they’re so good we had to make them too.  now our little beach house smells like Fall.

I added nutmeg, extra cinnamon, olive oil instead of vegetable oil & no surprise, chocolate chips.

Cam loves taking these to work with him & they’re the yummiest post-run breaky.

{recipe adapted from here}
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Much much love from Oki.

    Mmmmm I can smell them from here! And y'all have Trader Joes out there?!?! That can't be right. Not even FL has a Trader Joes. {devastated} I love a good afternoon rain storm…but of course, not getting caught in one. Have you experienced a FL storm ever?

    your legs are SO tan!!
    it's been raining for 2 days in DC — however there is NO gorgeous beach NOR pumpkin muffins that have come from it. (though Tim did make pumpkin bread from a PD recipe that included THREE CUPS of sugar among other things — delish but we could only eat a slice — this recipe looks wayyyy healthier)
