Getaway to Carmel Valley Ranch

Cam and I spent a night at the lovely Carmel Valley Ranch last week and for the majority of the time you would have found us right here, in this beautiful cabana next to the pool and infinity jacuzzi. The ranch is a gorgeous property. There’s deer and wild turkeys that roam their vineyards and lavender fields, roses and flowers everywhere. There’s all kinds of things to do like spend an afternoon with the ranch beekeeper or vintner, or hike, but since I can’t exercise at all and have to be off my feet as much as possible for the rest of my pregnancy, we didn’t move much from our spot. And it was amazing! We got to read the entire day and nap in the sun, talk, and have uninterrupted time together. I cherish every second I get with that man!

We ate dinner on the outdoor courtyard at Cafe Rustica in Carmel Valley and couldn’t recommend it enough! We had the best fried calamari that we’ve possibly ever had, a big roast chicken salad filled with grilled veggies for me and the house pasta and wine for Cam. It was all delicious. And if there’s one thing you can’t miss at the ranch, it’s their nightly s’mores. They have a bonfire pit with adirondack chairs next to the pool with a cart full of everything you need to sit back and relax underneath the stars and eat as many s’mores as your tummy can take. After one night and two afternoons there, we felt so relaxed and refreshed. Thank you so much Nana Beth for happily taking on your sweet, wild man grandson so we could get away. We are still feeling so thankful!

Also… if you ever get to stay at Carmel Valley Ranch, try to go on a weeknight and be sure to ask if there are any discounts offered. I asked if there was a discount for locals (there wasn’t) but they kindly gave us a nice one anyways plus a room upgrade to a beautiful suite with a wraparound deck!

You are gorgeous, as always! CVR looks like the best getaway – I love that you are able to go for one night, not forced into two like a lot of places. Hopefully someday we can sneak away ourselves! ๐Ÿ˜€
