Dolci Fresh Healthy and Delicious Summer Series Frutta Lemon Life

Happy Fourth! Summer Berry Tart Drizzled in Warm Honey

This was so so so so so so so sososososos good.

I’m not exaggerating – as of today, this is one of our new favorite desserts.
I used sugar cookie for the crust and greek yogurt mixed with vanilla & almond extract, topped with fresh berries + lemon rind & drizzled in warm honey. It’s a healthier version of a tart {and we agreed more delicious!}.
The sweetness from the sugar cookie married perfectly to the tang from the yogurt & berries.
 1. Spread the sugar cookie dough on a baking sheet & bake at 375 until lightly browned.
2. Mix vanilla greek yogurt with a teaspoon of vanilla extract + a teaspoon of almond extract.
Place in the refrigerator until the sugar cookie crust has completely cooled.
3. Spread the yogurt mixture on the crust, top with sliced strawberries, blueberries & freshly grated lemon rind.
4. Drizzle warm honey over the top & ENJOY!!

Happy Independence Day from Okinawa!

I was looking for a red white and blue dessert to take to the Kenworthys this weekend – this just might be it! Just want to let you know how much I KNOW you wish you were here… at work… stuffing your face with Red Hot and Blue while wanting to take a nap underneath your desk. You are so jelly right now. Oh wait…
MISS YOU!! and happy Fourth to you and Cam!
