Our Big News

 {14 1/2 weeks and finally showing… with the help of a big breakfast*} 

 God is good.

We are beside ourselves with joy. So thankful. Sometimes nervous. So excited. There’s a little person growing inside of me!!

This huge and precious gift has felt so surreal to us, even though I’ve
been sick just about every single day since we found out {curled up on
the couch and bathroom floor have been my usual hangout spots the past
two months}. And when we got to see our little son or daughter for the
first time, we were even more blown away. There was our little baby
dancing around the ultrasound screen, moving all over the place,
wiggling fingers and toes, waving at us!, and then he or she stretched
out their legs, with arms behind the head, just like Cam, like they have
his easy going personality… they’re already a little person!, developed, with
a unique design all their own. We’ve never seen anything in this world
so absolutely amazing. I left with mascara all over my face. Seeing how
utterly excited Cam is ranks as one of my top favorite things in life so
far. I cannot wait to see him as a daddy. 

Thank you for letting us share this news with you of the most miraculous gift from God.
He is so, so good to let us do this.

*within ten minutes after this was taken I was back in sweats.. Just keepin it real (:

    If so, you'll get to deliver at the new Naval Hospital (unless you give birth out in town). I am 13wk3days and I'll likely be having Baby #2 at the new Naval Hospital…I'm excited to see how it differs from birthing in the old hospital.

    Again, congratulations!

    Have you tried ginger of any sort (ginger snaps, ginger candies, ginger tea, ginger ale)? That can really help! Now that you're out of the 1st trimester, hopefully your nausea will go away.
