Sea Inspired

 Our guest room is almost done. {As is the awesome accent furniture Cam is building for me!!}
 Living right on the glorious beach, it’s sea inspired.
Like us this year. (: It’s been a lot of fun getting it ready for you, R&B!
We’re going for very simple and nautical.
I want to pick 1 or 2 from this little conglomeration of photos/quotes to frame.. thoughts?
{East China Sea}
{Ligurian Sea // Riomaggiore, Italia // Definitely framing this one, which will be the second photo by the lovely Mads in our home}
 {South Pacific // How I love this one}
Traditional Okinawan oar two fishermen gave me today that we may paint
{they’re also used in karate- which originated here on Oki}
and, how can I resist sharing tonight’s sunset? It was utterly breathtaking.
Hope your weekend was wonderful!

    Your posts are such a treat.

    That is awesome they gave you those oars. I remember the Karate Kid took place in Okinawa. Had no clue Karate originated there. Makes sense!

    I really like the Emerson quote and the photo with the little red and yellow sailboat. All of the pictures are beautiful, especially the sunset. I can't wait to watch the sunset at the beach this summer.

    I adore Riomaggiore! My friends and I stayed in a little apartment for a few nights while doing a backpacking trip, and I fell in love. I'm dying to return to Cinque Terre!

    We are going to Riomaggiore for three nights this summer, so I partial to that picture – though they are all beautiful!

    I feel confused. If you are going for a nautical theme – why aren't there any Lanna Bear boat pictures in the running?? Sure, East China sea is "beautiful" and South Pacific is "exotic" but Sadie and Snix on the Lanna Bear?? Now THAT makes for good wall art ๐Ÿ™‚ Also – my mom would LOVE the oar and vote to keep it natural and hang it on the wall along with a pic of the man who gave it to you!
