So Showered // “Welcome to the World Baby Marshall”

On Saturday, Ash, Mckenzie, Mere and Kristen threw me the prettiest and most laid back and fun baby shower I’ve ever been to. They had flowers everywhere {they know me well!}, amazing food for dinner, including chocolate fondue, wine for the girls who could drink and yummy watermelon spritzer and citrus water for everyone else {there’s a lot of pregnancies right now..} They even sent me to go get my nails done with Veronica while they did all the work setting up!
They couldn’t have come up with a better theme for us — “Welcome to the World, Baby Marshall.” They know we love traveling so Ash found Japanese maps that she and Kenz used to craft the beautiful decor next to all the flowers. We didn’t play any awkward baby shower games {thank you!} and instead all spent the night hanging out together. It was perfect. They worked so hard on every detail and I could not be more thankful. I just wish I had better photos to show you.. but I was honestly having too much fun !

Our babe was spoiled with amazing gifts and Cam and I both felt so loved. Coop {Ash’s husband} threw Cam a diaper party with all the husbands while us girls were together … aka they gifted diapers and all went to the beach for a bonfire and to drink beer (:
When we first moved to Okinawa, so far away from our friends and families, we prayed a lot that the Lord would give us good friends. He definitely answered that prayer. We have an amazing community out here that has become our family away from home. We are so incredibly grateful for them!

      Ahh, do you have a solid community now? I hope so! It took us a while to find our place here. But we're so grateful for the friendships that have been built over the past two years!

    This looks so lovely! It's so wonderful that even though you are far from family during this exciting time, you and Cam have found family there to shower and celebrate you, Cam and baby Marshall. What a cute shower! I love that you didn't play any silly games and just enjoyed your time together.
