Life Monterey

Spring is Coming Wildflower and Juliet Rose Bouquet

I know it’s still the end of January… but it’s already the end of January!! To be completely honest, I have been so, so excited about Springtime since the Fall. I bought my maternity Easter dress on sale in November… ha. Cam and I are planning our familiarization trip to Zagreb in March, then it’s Easter! and not long after is my due date!! and we’ll be finishing our language classes and getting ready to move. All Lord willing. So Spring feels like it is upon us and there are still friends and family we haven’t gotten to see yet and want more time with, and so much to be praying about.

This was my little doodle last night from my favorite quote right now, found in my devotional. I’ve been repeating it in my head since I first read it in December and it’s my inspiration for our little girl’s nursery once we get to Zagreb. It makes me think about how much the Lord loves us, that in all His beauty and splendor, He came to us humbly and in love, and will come again! The same way that good music lifts the soul to eternity, far past this present life and earth, beyond what words can describe, is how beautiful flowers lift mine. So sometimes during John’s naps, I make little arrangements like this one.

The roses were from the Carmel farmer’s market with the company of my little sidekick, and the poppies, sage and yarrow came from our yard.

I needed an arrangement for a special day. The florist needed to get to a trade show in a half hour, but if I could make it in 15, my arrangement would be ready. It was ready, Floral Delivery was awesome, I'm sold.
