Sunrise in Dubrovnik

We didn’t get into Dubrovnik until around midnight, but even in the dark it took our breath away.
The kids were wide awake four hours later, so we all watched the sunrise, listened as the bells rang from the Franciscan Church, made breakfast and a whole lot of coffee. I have so many photos to share, but seeing it at sunrise as a family was something special… even if my husband watched grumpily out of the corner of one eye from the couch with a pillow over his head. Haha.

(We rented this airbnb. It has a wall of windows that open up to this spectacular view, is in a perfect location within walking distance to everything, including a grocery store just below it that makes the best chocolate croissants each morning. Even with the ten thousand staircases to and from it, we loved it and I’d recommend it!)

I've been wondering about Airbnb overseas since we're not acquainted with using them in the states. Best thing ever! We won't be in Slovenia until a year, but we're excited for all the traveling we'll be doing!

It has been really great, especially with children – we're able to have extra space and cook when we want, etc. I only book places though that are verified and have excellent reviews and it's been a fantastic experience every time! I'm excited for you!!

Oh, that's so great, Caroline! I bet it'll be less crowded and not as hot then, too!

Oh my goodness. I know I have said this on ALL of the IG photos but these pictures are absolutely breath-taking. SO beautiful. WOW. And how adorable is the picture with the John Shea and Grace in the diapers peering out. SOO cute!!
