Life pregnancy

Treats for the Pregnant Mama in Your Life

We have some very special women in our life that are either pregnant or hoping to be soon. I had a friend’s husband ask me the other day if there was something thoughtful that he could get his pregnant wife, and these were some of the things I came up with. Do you actually need any of this? No! But does a little gift make life sweeter? I’d say so! If you have someone in your life {or maybe you!} that you’re looking for, here’s some things that I’ve been enjoying…
1. The Snoogle.  Haa, this thing cracks us up on a daily basis, but it really does help me sleep! Cam surprised me with it while he was deployed and it comfortably forces me to sleep on my side and replaced the four pillows I had wedged every which way before. I love that big, strange, cuddly snoogle.
2. An oversized, cute tote for lugging around snacks and lots of water whenever you’re out. This one says it all and this one is adorable. When I know I’m going to be gone for a few hours I like to grab string cheese, fresh fruit, almonds and always a big, lidded mason jar of water. If you want to spice it up, you can try adding citrus to it or this watermelon spritzer!
3. Elta MD SPF 46 Sunscreen & SPF 31 Lip Balm. Hooray! Finally a natural, light face sunscreen  and lip balm sans all the nasty chemicals that actually goes on clear, and doesn’t make me pasty white or cost a fortune. Thanks to my dear doctor friend Merebear and the dermatologist who highly recommended it. Also, these darling sunnies for soaking up sunshine and vitamin d.
4. Burt’s Bee’s Peach Face Scrub + Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. I like using this scrub and then coconut oil for my face at night before bed. Hasn’t made me break out at all and I wake up with bebe soft skin. All for a whopping $5. And coconut oil for the belly too!
5. Comfy maxi. They just can’t be beat.

6. Cute To-Do Notepad & Pretty Journal.
I am a list-maker, but now super forgetful with my pregnancy brain, so keeping a cute pad around is helping me stay on top of things. Also, the most important to me in this post — a journal for spending time in the Word. Not everyone enjoys or needs to journal, but I personally love it. I can write out prayers, write down things I’m learning, verses that are especially encouraging that day… notes to our son that eventually I’ll put in his baby book. I used to buy a new journal in the latest country we were in, but Rifle Co. ones are too pretty to pass up.
Happy weekend!!

LOVE my snoogle! Sometimes it falls off the bed and nearly takes me with it but I think that's from trying to squish that thing in with a dog and the hubs. My husband calls it the White Swan and it drives him crazy! hah! I'm going to need to see what the hype is all about with Coconut Oil, too. I heard it's also great for rashes when cloth diapering!

I may not be pregnant but that snoogle looks pretty comfy to me. I sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees and this seems like a pretty good option.

    Have a great weekend!!
