Under the Sea // Island Hopping Dive Trip

{I’m just keepin it Japanese}
{Tonna! the best captain we’ve had yet out here!! loved him.}
Scuba diving has taken our love for the ocean to a new level. 
I really do feel like a mermaid down there swimming + breathing in deep turquoise water! 
Saturday we spent the whole day cruising between islands off the western coast of Oki {there’s over 100 total!} to different dive spots. It was such a blast and beautiful day out at sea. 
Oh we are so blessed and thankful to live here. 
To Cam’s great disappointment though, we didn’t see any sharks, but I have a feeling we’re going to run into them one of these days… thus making my husband’s life complete. I imagine he will beam with happiness and I will likely cry underwater and beg it to please not eat us. {Sharks don’t like chocolate and that has to be exactly what I taste like. So atleast I have that going for me.}

    Still finalizing dates, but most likely in July (hot as hades, I know.)

    What beautiful pictures! I don't know if I could ever scuba dive…I would be too paranoid about the bends…or sharks! Fingers crossed that you guys don't run into any! 🙂

    I have tried to scuba several times and I always end up chickening out. Which stinks as I love the water and I am sure it would be amazing.

    Sharks? I would totally pee my wet suit. I hate them! I mean, I'm terrified of them. My dad used to have a few and they always gave me nightmares.

    2. Let's be honest, in addition to chocolate you probably taste like olive oil, cheese, and wine — which I hear is Mr. Fin's favorite combo… so be careful!

    was it hard to get used to breathing under water? i'm terrified of sharks that i don't think i would ever be able to scuba dive. i went snorkling once in punta cana and rather than looking at all the beauty under water, i was on the lookout for sharks! if you ever spot one, have Cam punch it in between the eyes. i hear that scares them away!

    me and Cam have a LOT in common then – every single dive we take I pray for sharks and every single dive we take my husband prays that doesn't come true.
    I knew you would fall in love w/SCUBA diving…we sure did! It is one of the most relaxing things I do…they call me the turtle whisperer…because sea turtles always find me and swim with me…and I guess normally they don't do that! Love the pics girl!

    My husband wanted to go scuba diving when we were in Hawaii, but I was scared 🙁

    So this is probably weird and I'm not sure how things goes with blog etiquette, but I stumbled onto your blog while googling Zakimi Castle, and now I've been sitting here for 20 minutes reading about all of your adventure. I've lived in Okinawa for 2 years, and have never seen it more beautiful than through your camera lens. It makes me want to be a better adventurer, and shutterbug, and I most certainly appreciate this island more. So thank you for being in blogland and being totally inspiring!

    ummm i LOVE the "keeping it japanese" picture.. because i like to keep it japanese in mostly ALL my pictures (and i've never been there or have any ties there.. i'm just THAT hip/cool)

    but how fun- you guys must be living it UP under the sea.. under the sea..

    (dont act like you dont have sebastian pictured in your head..if you DON'T, i don't think i continue this friendship… disney is a deal breaker… and so TOTALLY japanese..)
