17 Weeks

HI!!

I didn’t plan on taking a break from blogging, and such a long one at that, but I’ve been so sick the past three months (much more than I ever was with John!) that I had to. It’s good to be back (I’ve missed this awesome community, and it’s also such a relief to not want to puke everyday, hooray…) and couldn’t have been for a better reason. Praise God for the sweet gift of another baby on the way!! If you remember when I miscarried this summer, this is as true when I wrote this then as it is now:  Jesus Christ makes all things new!

We have the second trimester ultrasound next week, and will hopefully be able to see if John Shea is going to be a big brother to a little girl or boy. We are ecstatic.

I read this in my devotional on the last day of 2014 and it couldn’t have been more perfect to start the new year (2015! It came so fast!!) :

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His mercy lasts forever. Psalm 118:1


“Think of these as living, important, rich Words, which embrace and contain everything. Namely, that God is kind. Not like a person, but as the One who is always favorably inclined to help and do good from the bottom of His heart. In summary, who can count it all?? He does all of this fully and surpassingly every year, every day, every hour, every instance.”

    PS. We made your butternut squash & white bean soup for Christmas Eve dinner and couldn't get enough of it. Couldn't even Instagram it because it disappeared too quickly 🙂
