There's a working flower farm not far from us, and though they aren't open for visitors, I thought I'd take a chance and just ask if we could walk through their peony fields. They're my favorite of all favorites, and Gracie's too. Thankfully the owner shares the same favorite flower and with an understanding smile obliged. Progress on Our Kitchen Garden
I am so excited about how much has changed here over the past weeks! Our kitchen garden is taking shape and though we have a ton of work left, it's become such a peaceful spot that we all love to be in. Not too long ago, this is what it looked like... where the boys are is about dead center of where the garden is now. This entire area was a pine tree forest and had been a dumping ground. A Redemption Story at Our Farmhouse
We've wanted to have baby chicks for our kids at Easter for years, and this weekend, it finally happened, yay! One of our hens was beat up by the rest of the flock to the point that I couldn't even look... She was quite literally almost pecked to death but Cam thankfully found her in time and separated her so she could heal.
