North Carolina Farmhouse

Our Little Girls Room

This was our first completed project in our home and we’ve loved watching our girls so enjoy it! We took out the old yucky carpet, Cam put down wide plank pine floors, we white washed and sealed them, painted the walls and added basic crown molding. You can see the before shot in this post. It’s hard to tell in these photos but the wall color – SW Stone Eagle – is actually really light and airy (that’s what I get for photographing their room on an overcast day!)

The beautiful wheelbarrow Cam built for Gracie’s nursery in Zagreb

From one of my favorite hymns… the calligraphy was done by the lovely Jessica Albers
All of the hanging stars, fairies and darling handmade dolls came from my friend Jasmina’s beautiful shop in Zagreb (she has an online store, too!)
And the dollhouse was mine when I was a little girl!

A far more accurate depiction of what their room usually looks like… ha.

Never did we think we’d get to have two sweet little girls in cribs — let alone soon to be three, Lord willing!!
