Family Gracie Says

The Things Gracie Says That Have Us Laughing Out Loud, Vol. II

These days, I can’t keep up with how many hilarious things our kids are saying. Late last night I heard Gracie awake so I quietly snuck in her and John Shea’s room.

Me: Gracie baby, why are you up? Are you feeling sick?
Grace: Gwacie isn’t sick, Mommy. Gwacie wants a candy cane. I WANT A CANDY CANE!”

Talking to her Bethie Bunny…
Grace: Oh my! I had a very exciting day today!

Me: … (Interrupting her cute little conversation) What did you do that was exciting?
Grace: I went to Tractor Supply with Daddy!!!

——————————

Putting her in her carseat…
Grace: Oh dear (haha, I don’t know where she gets “oh dear” !?) Gwacie is seepy. I need a nap.
Me: Were you up a lot last night???
Grace: Yesh.
Me: How come?
Grace: (says matter-of-factly) Because of the dinosaurs in my room.
Me: There were dinosaurs in your room!? And what were they doing?
Grace: They were dancing! And my crocodile friend was singing to me!

——————————

Skips into the kitchen while I’m making dinner…

Grace: Mommy, I LOVE butter!

Grace: JOHN SHEA! (running full force at him while he was sitting on the porch, putting pumpkins in his dump truck. JS wondering what on earth she’s about to do)
Grace: YOU are my pumpkin! (kisses the top of his head and twirls off)

And one from John Shea…
He’s still adjusting to Cam being back at work after the past two years of having him home so much.
JS: Mama? I sad. I miss Dadda.
Me: (Explaining Daddy has to work, and one day he will need to as well)
JS: (Grabs his make-shift chainsaw and tool box) Mommy, Daddy go to work. I go to work too. (pats his chest) I’m a man!
